In such an intense and challenging environment it is vital that the team are qualified and experienced, communicate, are committed to best practice and work seamlessly together. Charter’s™ team is well-established and rock solid; with extensive, proven clinical experience, the team have worked together for a number of years; some are also in recovery themselves; the atmosphere is happy and turnover of staff is zero.

In response to overwhelming demand, London’s leading addiction outpatient provider, Charter, have launched an Evening Programme. Dedicated to the needs of the working population, this structured and intensive programme is ideal for those seeking to regain balance and achieve recovery within the context of their lives.

Based at the south end of Harley Street, only 5 minutes walk from Oxford Circus tube, and close to London’s mainline rail stations, our discreet location is easily accessible and well within reach.

Intensive Outpatient Programme (Mon-Fri)

Treating chemical dependence, addictive disorders, eating disorders, trauma and mental health

2, 4 & 6 week programmes available

Abstinence based

Practicing an integrative approach including 12 step, CBT, relapse prevention and trauma therapy

Day or Evening outpatient programmes available

Individualised programme tailored to individual need, subject to assessment

We currently provide a free weekly aftercare service for the first year

We work in association with many other healthcare professionals including GPS, nutritionists, and specialists in all forms of psychiatric care

Counselling & Psychotherapy

Relationships, mediation, stress, anxiety, depression, addictive disorders

From the very beginning we look to place you not just with a skilled, experienced professional but with someone whose therapeutic approach might make particular sense to you

Taking the first step towards finding help when you are feeling anxious, sad or vulnerable can be very hard. But we will do all we can to make the process as straightforward as possible. The first step is to call to arrange an assessment

Adolescent Programme

We treat adolescents in a dedicated programme facilitated by child and adolescent psychotherapists

Aimed at adolescents presenting with behavioural and/or emotional difficulties including addictive patterns, anxiety, depression, perfectionism; often the sibling or child of a person suffering from an addictive disorder

Groups take place after school with workshops scheduled at weekends

We do not label at this stage, rather treat the groups as an opportunity for early intervention, psycho-education and on-going assessment

For the adolescent it is a vital opportunity to fracture their isolation and from there begin to find a respectful voice in a group or family

Family Group

Fortnightly parenting group on the alternate weeks focused specifically on parenting issues, strategies and advice

Weekend workshops designed to educate and support the whole family through the treatment process

Workshops

We have designed a number of intensive weekend workshops that focus on particular aspects of relationship, trauma and addiction

Scheduled to work alongside your working week, and to compliment an existing therapeutic process, these workshops provide an opportunity for group experience, revelation and growth

Aftercare

Weekly Aftercare groups are available at Charter™ for Charter’s™ clients, those returning to London after treatment from elsewhere or those already in recovery wanting extra support

The groups are designed to help clients achieve a smooth transition back in to everyday life, regain self-esteem, broaden horizons, accumulate knowledge and recovery skills, and develop a wide-ranging support network
