Centre Description
Over the past 20 years, Yellowstone Recovery California has provided affordable alcohol and drug rehab programs in Southern California to over 5,000 men and women. Our drug rehab centers are particularly located in beautiful Orange County which is at the heart of Southern California. Also there are presently few places on earth better to escape the grasps of addiction than in the endless sunshine along the Pacific Coast. Plus we recognize how inescapable the downward spiral of addiction can feel and work tirelessly to offer freedom for our clients.
Detoxification
When it’s all too much, Yellowstone Recovery can help.
Our California alcohol and drug addiction treatment program is predicated on restoring you to your ideal health. Detox is a crucial part of our drug and alcohol recovery programs because it helps our clients to work first on the physical aspects of addiction. Plus it firstly provides them with a firm foundation for effectively dealing with related issues going forward. This is the first phase of the drug rehab program. Therefore our trained staff are always standing by ensuring clients remain comfortable during the detox process.
Upon intake at our CA drug rehab center, each client undergoes a full bio-psycho-social assessment. This part of the drug rehab process certainly allows us to find out the substances and amounts the client used prior to entering detox. Thus it enables us to identify the core issues that are most likely to interfere with recovery. Mental health issues may also be identified during this assessment. After the clients are eventually assessed, individualized drug treatment programs can be developed. Generally to bring about and maintain the stabilization of each client’s physical detox and to support his or her ongoing recovery.
Primary Care – Residential Treatment
The first phase of our program is primary care. During this phase clients will be in a 30-day “blackout” period where they will not be allowed contact with anyone outside of the program. The purpose of the blackout period is twofold; blackout gives the clients time to work on themselves without worrying about what is going on outside the program plus it gives the families of the clients a chance to rest easy knowing that their loved one is in a safe place and they won’t be getting “that call.” Although clients are not allowed to contact anyone outside the facility they can agree to let people outside the facility contact staff for progress updates while they remain in primary care.
Primary Care Treatment
Primary care introduces clients to the 12-step programs of recovery and addiction counseling. Clients will attend 12-step meetings on a nightly basis with their house while under the supervision of their house manager and other staff members. During the week (Monday – Friday) clients will attend Day Treatment from 9am-3pm where they will attend group and individual session. Lunch is provided for all clients during the lunch hour at 11am.
Residential Treatment – Extended Care
Residential treatment extended care starts on day 31 and goes through day 90. However this period is very important for a client in early recovery. This is when they prove they can use the tools they learned in earlier primary care. They especially show they can be accountable, take direction and work a program of recovery.
The client firstly has completed the first 30 days of residential treatment. They will have attended daily groups and 12-step meetings. Plus they have certainly by now gotten a sponsor and started working the 12 steps. Also they are armed with facts about the disease of alcoholism and addiction and what to do about it. They have certainly by now completed a relapse prevention plan and identified triggers and developed coping skills.
The client has shown they are now ready to move on to the next phase of residential treatment, extended care.
Residential Treatment & Job Search
The secondary focus of this phase of residential treatment behind continuing to work a 12 step program is finding employment. This prepares the client to be self-supporting once they have finished their 90 days in residential treatment.
Outpatient Treatment for Drugs and Alcohol
Outpatient treatment serves as aftercare for clients who have completed extended care (90 days of residential treatment). Clients in outpatient treatment are required to attend 3 groups sessions each week. Clients will also be required to attend an individual session every other week. This session is to turn in assignments and complete objectives on their treatment plan. Participation in 12-step recovery is also a requirement for outpatient treatment. Each client must attend at least 4 meetings per week and be actively working the 12-steps with a sponsor.
Outpatient Treatment Group and Individual Sessions
All group and individual sessions are facilitated by certified drug and alcohol counselors. Each session takes place in the evening. This allows clients to work during the day so they can be fully self-supporting. The group sessions are aimed at processing daily living. Other members of the group can provide feedback on what has worked for them in similar situations. Individual sessions are set to help each individual continue to work on core issues that affect recovery. These core issue were identified while in residential treatment.
Sober Living
Sober living at Yellowstone begins after the initial residential treatment portion of the program is successfully completed. Within the structure of sober living each client is equipped to effectively integrate their sober foundation with real life fundamentals. Each house is managed by a full time house manager and the purpose of each house is to offer client’s the practical support of living on their own sober.
Sober Living Structure
Sober living has a reasonable curfew, 12-step support and an accountability system. We believe in the value of action in recovery and each house has simple chores, rules, and responsibilities that foster growth in the individual. It is expected that each client be self-supporting and we ensure the provision of the proper tools as transition shifts from treatment to employment. We offer outpatient treatment as a form of continuing education and structure to aid in the client’s sobriety.
