Welcome to Crossroads Rehabilitation Centre near Willoughby Bay. Our programme provides a supportive and confidential treatment experience within an environment of incredible beauty and serenity. Crossroads has implemented a unique Twelve-Step based residential program that blends both traditional and holistic treatment elements to create a “whole person” approach to recovery.

We are here to help people and their families whose lives are controlled by alcohol and/or drugs – Helping them to make the changes necessary to find new health, a new sense of well- being and a new life of recovery. We assist clients in achieving this through a ‘whole person approach’ to healing and recovery

Crossroads has implemented a unique Twelve-Step based residential program that incorporates both traditional and holistic treatment elements to create a “whole person” approach to recovery. This is facilitated through the introduction of a number of complementary therapies, designed to bring the client closer to achieving a balance of mind, body and spirit.

Phases of Treatment

The residential treatment program is divided into three treatment phases.

Phase I
The initial phase involves detoxification. During this phase clients receive a physical evaluation, lab work and begin the process of detoxifying their body from addictive substances. Our professional medical team, supervises the detox process and administers the necessary medications for withdrawal according to standardized detoxification policies.

Massage and auricular accupuncture are also utilized in the detox phase to help ease stiff muscles, and aid with anxiety and sleeplessness. Use of the outdoor Jacuzzi ­spa is also encouraged during this phase to provide additional relief during the withdrawal process.

Clients meet with their Primary Counsellor to complete a bio-psycho-social assessment which forms the basis for preliminary treatment planning and are acclimated to the treatment structure.

Phase II
The second phase focuses on the Master Treatment Plan designed by both the Primary Counsellor and the client. The Master Treatment Plan is individually tailored, customized to meet the needs of each client. Treatment at this stage is more intensive with the exception that clients begin to address self-destructive patterns of behaviour. At this stage, the healing process involves exploring underlying issues and the personal roadblocks to ongoing recovery.

Phase III
The third phase involves aftercare planning and discharge. All clients are provided with appropriate referrals and a comprehensive continuing care plan, based on their individual needs as recommended by the clinical team. This may include but is not limited to: Halfway house or Intensive Outpatient placements, Individual therapy, Psychiatric referrals within the client’s home and/or aftercare community. 12-step recovery groups are strongly recommended to all of our clients as part of their continuing care plan. Whenever possible and with the written consent of both parties, we will provide alumni contacts for clients before leaving treatment.

Transitional Living

At Crossroads Centre we believe that primary residential treatment is often the first step toward recovery. Research and experience tells us that the longer a person stays engaged in the treatment and recovery process, the better their chances of sustaining recovery. For that reason, a number of our clients are recommended to transitional living homes or sober residences after they complete the program.

These residences offer a safe and semi-structured living environment whereby persons in recovery can continue to work on their issues identified in treatment while integrating with the community. Crossroads owns and operates The Sanctuary in Delray Beach, a transitional living home for men.

Connected by a garden walkway, The Sanctuary occupies two homes located next door to one another near downtown Delray Beach, Florida. Together these beautifully furnished and elegantly appointed residences accommodate 10 men and feature amenities like high speed internet access and satellite television. A third home is a short distance away and can accommodate up to five men..

24-hour staff supervision
Case management services
Convenient access to Twelve-Step recovery meetings
A minimum 90 day stay
