Our Story

“We know from personal experience that battling drug addiction and alcoholism on your own can be a very difficult process but together there is always hope”

Mental health professionals estimate that approximately 2 out of 10 addicts recover from the disease of addiction. So we are committed to achieving better results by applying evidence-based practices for treating those addicted to alcohol and other drugs.

We became passionate about opening a treatment centre because of the shockingly low success rates and the soaring cost of treatment in the United States.

Plus we knew that by empowering recovered addicts and alcoholics in our community we could collaboratively achieve better results.

Also we intuitively understood that if the message of recovery was transmitted effectively. Hence anyone, no matter what their circumstance, could be free from alcoholism and drug addiction. After all, we were free from addiction ourselves.

Together, we could push the industry benchmark forward and help offer a solution to the drug epidemic in the United States.

As we investigated other treatment centers, it became increasingly apparent that most drug and alcohol treatment programs had been developed by mental health professionals with no personalexperience recovering from addiction and alcoholism.

Despite the high cost of treatment at some centers, the results were at times ineffective. We decided to challenge the status quo and put forward our attempt at helping those struggling to recover from addiction.

In the beginning, most of our clients came to Costa Rica Treatment Center seeking help having relapsed only days after being discharged from other drug rehabs.

Despite completing treatment programs at other centers, it became apparent our clients had absolutely no idea what alcoholism or drug addiction was about and what course of action was needed in order to stay clean and sober.

The majority seemed very confused on why they had relapsed in the first place.

We consider ourselves fortunate to be able to participate in the recovery process of our clients. We hope you will give yourself a chance, take action and join us.

Why Costa Rica Treatment Centre?

Most people that attend treatment centres are sheltered from external stimulus, isolated from people, places and things, and kept on lock down for the duration of their stay. People often show amazing progress while in treatment but struggle maintaining their sobriety when they leave.

Our treatment model combines the benefits of inpatient residential treatment with the complete reintegration focus of a sober living environment.

We offer a fully comprehensive treatment program in one single experience.

Our clients work through their difficulties and are afforded liberties as they meet specific recovery milestones. Unlike conventional treatment centres, at Costa Rica Treatment Center our clients are required to assume responsibility over their recovery process.

Medical Detox

We offer medical detox services through private hospitals as well as non-medical detox on site.

The detox process focuses on eliminating the withdrawal symptoms by making the client comfortable and cleansing the body from all chemicals and toxins.

This process is of utmost importance and medical supervision is always required as withdrawal symptoms can result in excruciating physical and psychological pain if unattended and depending on the severity of the case may even result in death.

At Costa Rica Treatment Center we provide the necessary assistance to ensure the client’s safety and comfort at all times.

Residential Treatment

Our residential treatment program is truly comprehensive.

Our dedicated multidisciplinary team evaluates the client’s individual history as well as treatment needs and develops a personalized holistic treatment plan focused on healing the mind, body, and spirit.

We offer 30, 60, 90 and 120-day treatment programs.

Although each case is completely different, our results show that the overwhelming majority benefit the most from our fully comprehensive residential treatment program.

Our holistic approach is evidence-based and proven.

Outpatient Treatment

Our Intensive outpatient program offers the client the opportunity to engage in day to day life as they participate in an intensive treatment program.

During Intensive Outpatient our clients assume greater responsibility over their recovery program but are supported throughout their journey.

The treatment focus is geared toward relapse prevention and finding balance in the mainstream of life.

After Care

Included in our 120-day residential treatment program, our After-Care & Sober Living program gives our clients the flexibility to apply some of the concepts learned during residential treatment in real life situations.

This program offers some of the benefits of inpatient residential treatment with the complete reintegration focus of a sober living.

This program gives our clients the advantage of recognising and working through their difficulties while having access to an experienced support team.

As part of a complete treatment plan, we have found that including our aftercare program better prepares our clients to achieving lasting recovery.

Our Treatment Programs Include:
  • Individual Therapy
