At Turning Point, we support people across the country with substance misuse issues. As a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist, you’ll make a real difference to their lives as you help them improve their psychological wellbeing. Passionate about people, you’ll enjoy the opportunity and support to enhance your own life and career too, as you make this role your own as part of our friendly, multidisciplinary team.
Turning Point Leicester and Leicestershire is an integrated substance misuse service that offers support to individuals across the city and county in addition to HMP Leicester and providing a hospital liaison service. You will work within a supportive multi–disciplinary team working alongside doctors, nurses, Recovery Workers and Peer Mentors to improve the well–being of a wide range of service users.
As a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist, you will be ensuring psychosocial interventions are delivered to be consistent with NICE guidance while continuing to develop the service for users from across Leicester and Leicestershire. On top of that, we’ll look to you to provide case consultation in relation to service users with co–existing mental health problems, with responsibilities covering audit, training, research, leading a counselling service with placement therapists, forging dual diagnosis pathways, and national service developments for substance misuse.
