The Recovering Group was founded in 2005 by a group of individuals whose lives had been affected by the disease of alcoholism and addiction. Since that time, we have been committed to providing the best possible treatment to those individuals seeking recovery. Our treatment programs are based on 12 step philosophies and focus on personal growth in recovery.

Working in the field of addiction is a challenging task. Successful recovery encompasses several changes including improvement in self-esteem, interpersonal relationships, improvement in family interaction, vocational productivity, the establishment and attainment of realistic life goals and a healthy life style adjustment. The goal of TRG is to restore the individual to a healthier, happier more productive life, free from destructive behavior and dependence on addictive chemicals.

Drug rehab centers Alcohol Detoxification / Detox

Generally speaking, treatment starts with getting the substances out of the body. This process is known as detox (detoxification). Detox is critical for several seasons. First, having the drugs or alcohol in the body often causes a craving for more of it. This cycle of using and withdrawing is why people can’t just quit on their own. Additionally, while in a drug or alcohol induced state, a person is not fully prepared to participate in the educational and therapeutic process of rehab program, until the detox process is complete, someone is simply not ready for recovery.

The objective of detox is to help the individual achieve drugs and alcohol free state. Detox is intended to relieve the physical symptoms of withdrawal and it helps to prepare the individual for entry into treatment and rehab program. Detox for alcohol and drugs must be done under medical supervision to insure this process is completed safely and painlessly. The time necessary for alcohol and drugs detox can be anywhere from 3 to 7 days.

RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT PROGRAM

A residential drug treatment program is one of the most effective methods of attaining long-term abstinence from drugs and alcohol. This program is designed to teach you, in a very clear manner, exactly how to become a sober and happy person. Individuals who feel their addiction has affected their life style such as their family, friends or work will benefit greatly from residential drug treatment. Additionally, removing the individual from their former surroundings (in regard to drug using friends and the individual’s personal drug using paraphernalia) helps them to adjust to living a drug free life style.

The benefits of residential treatment also include the reduced likelihood of the individual using alcohol and drug in treatment as well as highly structured days. Those who attend a residential drug treatment program are able to employ the new tools they have learned to help them re-enter society and lead responsible, successful drug and alcohol free lives.

Participants reside on location for the course of the rehab program; lengths of stay vary and may be individualized. Care at residential drug treatment program is provided 24 hours a day.

RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM SCHEDULE

At TRG residents are gradually taught to lead
a disciplined and healthy life style through an intensive schedule including: Prayer and meditation, yoga, group therapy, family meeting, group discussion, reflection on feed back, sharing, literature study, confrontation, feelings check up, affirmation, assets & liabilities, countdown, guilt and shame, games and recreation, family intervention, daily inventory individual counseling and basis of 12 step work.

We provide a three phase treatment and recovery program:
• Primary Care (28 days)
• Extended Care (28 days)
• Transitional Phase (28 days)

NON-RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT PROGRAM

Recovery is a life long process. This is the program of complete abstinence from drug and alcohol. After completing the residential phase of drug treatment we suggest the individual to be a part of Non-Residential Treatment. The Non-Residential Treatment uses a broad variety of techniques including:

1. Spiritual Therapy: Participation in a 12-Step self help group such as Narcotics Anonymous and Alcoholic Anonymous.

2. Intensive Day Treatment: All in all, the ultimate goal of Non-Residential Treatment is to help the individual recover from addiction so that they may re-enter family society and lead responsible successful drug and alcohol-free lives.

3. Regular Follow-Ups: Individuals who are recovering from addiction first need to realize that they have a problem and are willing to work towards a solution.

THE RECOVERING SUPPORT GROUP

One of the major problems in Nepali society and throughout the world is drug abuse and drug led HIV/AIDS.

The Recovering Support Group is a group of individuals who are recovering from addiction and are supporting themselves and their community as a whole by sharing their knowledge and experiences. TRSG provides services such as:
