St. Joseph Institute offers a path to recovery for adults struggling with addiction. We use proven methods of treatment and state-of-the-art techniques combined in a faith-based, holistic approach that heals the whole person - body, mind, emotions and spirit.

Located on a beautiful mountain-side campus in central Pennsylvania, our environment facilitates healing. Elegant log and stone lodges, miles of walking trails, a spa and wellness center, gym, library, chapel and very private grounds all contribute to a successful recovery experience.

St. Joseph offers a path to recovery for adults struggling with addiction. We offer proven methods of treatment and state-of-the-art techniques combined in a holistic approach that heals the whole person – body, mind, emotions and spirit.

Our staff of highly trained professionals uses a combination of techniques to build the foundation for lasting recovery. Group and individual counseling, education and training, nutrition and lifestyle instruction, 12-Step programs, physician support, bodywork, fitness activities, pain and stress management, spiritual direction and meditation are components of an individual’s addiction treatment plan.

We focus on healing rather than casting judgment or condemnation on those who need our help. The Institute is built on Christian, non-denominational principles -- welcoming people of all faith backgrounds. Treatment Cost for Residential Addiction Recovery

The cost of addiction treatment at St. Joseph Institute is based on a 30 day residential program followed by a 1-year aftercare program.

The fees include accommodation and meals and a comprehensive treatment program. Each resident will have a schedule of individual and group therapy, recovery education on the themes that lead to lasting recovery, holistic treatments including bodywork and massage, fitness classes with a personal trainer, yoga and meditation, a medical, nutritional and holistic assessment, relapse prevention classes, and support in preparing to return home.


Those individuals requiring medical detox usually find that their insurance company will cover the cost of this treatment. The 30 day residential program is $24,000. The Institute works on behalf of each resident to obtain reimbursement from their insurance provider. Scholarships and financial aid are available to those who qualify, reducing the cost by $7500. We are not able to accept Medicare or Medicaid insurance.
