We at Safe Havens have a combined experience in 12-step therapy for more than 40 years. Our founder is the driving force in two European foundations which motivate and support large addiction centers to set up up their own 12-step treatment programs with the best centers now successfully operating. These foundations are also operating their own projects.

In our luxurious, private and comfortable setting we
will guide you in your initial steps in recovery of alcoholism and/or drug addiction. Our program is exclusive, we only help a very small amount of clients at a time. While in the Bangkok metropolis you are far away from your usual hussle and bussle so you can focus entirely on your recovery.

Program

With its foundations built in the internationally recognised traditions of 12-step recovery and drawing on the experience of treatment facilities across the world, we have put together a program that is comprehensive from the beginning to the end of the program.
We provide caring therapy regardless of sex, ethnic background, sexual orientation or religion. Safe Havens provides a spiritual based program with respect and compassion for the person being at the core. Our staff offer the tools to change lives for those who experience Safe Havens.
We strive to help those gain self-esteem, which may have been lost over the years and, to learn on a daily basis how to achieve happiness and peace, while continuing to make healthy choices. At Safe Havens we can help make this transition to success

In a climate of compassion, understanding and safety, our staff, some with hard-earned personal experience with recovery from addictions, skillfully address underlying issues that support addiction, as well as maladaptive attitudes, perceptions and beliefs that may cause a return to self-destructive behaviors.

At Safe Havens, we strongly believe in the healing of mind, body and spirit. Each patient is followed by a primary therapist.

Our multidisciplinary team works, together with the patient, to develop an individualized plan. This plan provides a structure by which to help each patient achieve specific and meaningful therapy to reach the goal: a clean, healthy and productive life.

Attendance of three 12-step meetings (AA or NA) outside of our facilities per week1
Weekend day trips will be organized to various local attractions*.
All meeting and trips outside of our facilities will be accompanied by staff.

Safe Havens is an exclusive, private facility located in the heart of Bangkok in a setting of safety, comfort, security and serenity.

Our clients are looking for professional help with alcohol use and other drugs. While residing in luxury and comfort, they learn how to change their insight and actions tostart on a new way of living without the use of alcohol or other drugs.

Acceptance

Acceptance criteria:

Male and females between ages 18-65.
Medical detoxification must have been completed prior to admittance.
Mental and emotional disorders should be stabilized prior to admission.
Medication prescribed should be stabilized and supervised by clients own MD.

The following criteria would be exclusionary to admission in the Safe Havens program:

Sexual disorders.
Aggressive behavior which may bring harm to the own persons or others.
Psychiatric or medical conditions which require hospitalization or which are not stabilized.
Physical limitations which limit the individual's ability to participate in the many activities, which we provide at Safe Havens.

Visa Requirements

Please be advised that every non-Thai resident needs to arrange a visitor's visa for a 90 days stay at the Thai embassy of the country of your residence prior to your departure.

Citizens of many countries are allowed a stay up to 30 days without a visa; however for a 6 weeks stay in Thailand you will need a 90 day visitor's visa.
