Centre Description
Pathways house project is a 12 steps treatment centre offering a program of rehabilitation to men and women who wish to recover from alcohol and drug abuse, gambling and eating disorders also gaming addictions.
The main purpose of Pathways House is to enable men and women who have lost direction through drug and / or alcohol dependency or gambling or an eating disorder to discover new possibilities and change their lives.
Pathways House is based on total abstinence from alcohol and drugs and provides an effective quality treatment for people who wish to begin the road to recovery.
Pathways House
A drug and alcohol abuse residential treatment centre which also offers treatment programme's for people with eating disorders and gambling addictions.
We run a complete and intensive programme from initial assessment to detox if required and then through therapy.
Therapy is delivered through cognitive therapy and through the 12 step fellowship programme's. There is a minimum stay of 12 weeks at Pathways House, we believe that clients need this time to fully adjust to life without substances and to reintegrate back in to society. We also offer a day programme for those who do not require accommodation.

Accomodation
Pathways House is situated in a beautiful location close to the centre of Canterbury facilities include double bedrooms, some with ensuite.
Also a communal lounge, kitchen and dining facilities and ample gardens. Meals are provided for clients.
Clients are given thier own double bedroom, some of which are en-suite, in one of Pathways Houses' accommodation centres.
Treatment
We offer a day program for those who do not require detox or a residential program.
These hours run from 9-5 Monday to Friday.

Detox
We work with men + women between ages of 18-65. Our clients may have food, alcohol, prescription and non prescription drug addictions or gambling or gaming problems.
We work with clients at all stages of addiction the assessment tools we use follow the National Treatment agency models of core. Clients Undertake an initiate thorough assessment, there after confirmation daily assessment takes place. Once accepted, every client receives regular drug and alcohol tests.
Clients requiring a detox will be assessed by the Pathways House doctor and will be administered the correct and required detox medication. A time plan will be formed for withdrawal."
Counselling
In addition to cognitive therapy we introduce clients to the 12 steps of recovery through the anonymous fellowships. This is a spiritual, not religious, programme available to people of any faith or none.
Throughout the world thousands of people have managed to reclaim thier lives by adhering to the 12 steps. Some of these activities take place at nearby countryside locations
We use a systematic personalised system of treatment with you as the main focus of the therapy.

We adopt a holistic approach, incorporating personal bio psychological components, such as diet, exercise, sleep and thought patterns.
Group work focusing on improving your inter-personal relationships.
Clients have the opportunity to take part in a wide range of leisure activities including gardening, fishing, cinema trips, go karting, nature + woodland walks, holistic therapies, yoga, art + drama classes.
