About Duffy's Rehab

Duffy's Napa Valley Rehab has been helping addicts and alcoholics change their lives for the better for over 40 years. Started by Gene Duffy, himself a recovering alcoholic, it has provided help for thousands of guests through personal counseling, a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere and compassionate attitude.

Acquiring the Tools for Lasting Recovery

Our program approach embraces the abstinence/recovery reality that upon discharge from our treatment, guests must be able to carry with them the familiar, effective, and personalized tools to sustain and continue to improve upon their early recovery experience.

Counseling Approach

We provide our guests extensive one on one counseling sessions with our Treatment Professionals, guiding each individual's learning and practice of recovery skills, providing therapy for emotional growth/problem solving: and assisting in the crafting of personalized recovery plans. This private counseling, provides the powerful means by which the recovery concepts are transformed into effective tools for lasting recovery.

AfterCare

Aftercare is a crucial component of a successful drug or alcohol rehabilitation center. Duffy's strongly believes in relapse prevention planning and aftercare.

1. Relapse Prevention

Most importantly before each guest leaves Duffy's a specific action plan is built. They are connected to a recovery community in their area, given a sponsor and work one-on-one with their counselor to identify triggers for addiction and coping mechanisms.

2. Sobriety Weekends

Every program at Duffy's includes a free three day / two night follow up visit to reconnect with counselors and provide our guests with an opportunity to share their strenght and hope with each other. Guests are invited to come back for additional weekends at a cost of only $189 for three days.

3. Open Meetings

For individuals that live nearby we have open meetings many times a week that they are invited to come and participate in.

Private Counseling

We provide our guests with extensive one-on-one counseling sessions with our Treatment Professionals, guiding each individual's learning and practice of recovery skills, providing therapy for emotional growth/problem solving and assisting in the crafting of personalized recovery plans. This private counseling provides the powerful means by which the recovery concepts are transformed into effective tools for lasting recovery. We are not aware of any other well-respected program that offers nearly this level of counseling support.

We are licensed and accredited by the California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs. Clinical and professional staff are individuals who are personally acquainted with the recovery process and are educated in the biopsychosocial aspects of addiction, withdrawal and early stages of abstinence/recovery, as well as relapse prevention.
