We understand that it may not always be easy to make a trip to a treatment facility and we would like to support you in taking this important step towards health and recovery. If you would rather not make the trip by yourself, we will meet you where you are and accompany you to the Bayberry Clinic where you will be welcomed by our professional intake staff.

"Where the recovery begins"

We welcome people from the full diversity of humanity. Our main programme is aimed at helping Healthcare Professionals such as physicians, dentists, nurses etc. We also work with associated professions to overcome their addictions and manage their mental wellbeing in order to rebuild their lives in the wider community.

Our Residents

The Bayberry Clinic accepts residents with addictions &/or with a dual-diagnosis, such as addiction with a co-existing depression, unresolved grief, personality or relationship problems. stress, burnout etc. We believe that Impaired Health Professionals should be treated with their peers to achieve the best possible route to recovery. However, our parallel programme is tailored to the needs or others suffering from similar problems.

Our Therapeutic Community Approach

Our treatment philosophy views the problem of addiction as a disorder of the whole person, which affects the physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual well-being of the individual and the family. Bayberry offers a residential, surrogate family setting that heals the isolation, loneliness and behavioural problems that the chemically dependent/mentally unwell person;often develops over the course of their condition.

Family Programme

The Bayberry Clinic provides residents and families with support and education on the nature of addiction, cross addiction and the impact on the family. The Family Programme is designed to assess the family’s needs, educate about chemical dependence &/or mental health issues by offering ongoing family support during and/or after the resident’s treatment.

The Family Programme is the first step many families make towards healing. Once a resident is admitted to the Bayberry Clinic, a therapist is assigned to respond to any questions or concerns. That therapist works both at a distance and close up with our families when they attend the family programme.

The Family Programme consists of family sessions and a family workshop during the resident’s stay at the Bayberry Clinic. The family workshop is a two-day educational and supportive experience. The workshop also offers an opportunity to address questions and concerns raised by family members.

Continuing Care

The Bayberry Clinic is committed to helping our residents and their families build a long term, self-sustaining recovery. The Bayberry Clinic’s Continuing Care Process assists residents and families to develop a programme of recovery and a support system that will provide a solid foundation to achieve that goal after they leave our facility.

"Healing requires engaged and caring relationships with all aspects of ourselves, with other individuals, with our communities, and with nature. Our aim is to offer deep and sustainable healing within a web of support and respect that is the hallmark of our therapeutic community",
