Mission Statement

We are here to be of service. We want to offer our community the best drug and alcohol out-patient recovery treatment center available. Our intention and purpose is to treat our clients and their family members with respect, dignity and honor as human beings on a spiritual road to recovery. This is out Mission, our Hope, our Promise.

About Us

We believe addiction is treatable as a disease and is not a moral issue.

Addiction is a disease that encompasses the mind, body and spirit. Recovery from chemical dependency requires total abstinence from all mind/mood altering chemicals.

The disease of addiction is progressive, affecting not only the addict/alcoholic, but family members, friends and co-workers.

If untreated, one’s quality of life continues to deteriorate. This can be fatal.

We provide each client with an empathetic multi-disciplinary treatment team, working together to assess, diagnose, and develop a treatment plan to maximize recovery from chemical dependency.

Our goal-oriented and client-specific treatment methods provide optimum care and relapse prevention. Archway Recovery Centers’ treatment program includes private individual life management skills, along with group and family therapy. We believe in the value of peer support and our programs are designed to assist individuals in a shared experience of recovery.

Archway Recovery Centers believes that in order to achieve and maintain sobriety, the client must build a strong foundation through involvement in the 12 Step Program of Alcoholics Anonymous. The best way to maximize the potential for full recovery is to follow the principles of the 12 Step Program while in treatment and post-discharge.

We offer a ropes course for the family program to help families learn trust and to work with each other in problem solving and life strategies.

Our primary objective is to create and maintain an environment in which clients and family members are treated with dignity and respect. We believe that recovery is an ongoing process and the first step of this lifelong journey begins with treatment.

What We Offer

PRESERVING OUR SOBRIETY TODAY IN TEXAS

The Archway Outpatient Post It Program

Archway Recovery Center’s P.O.S.T. It program is designed to be the next step in the continuum of care for individuals completing a primary substance abuse program and/or individuals who are struggling with chronic relapse. For the newcomer to sobriety we also offer an additional two week primary component which equips the client to be prepared to enter into the Post It Program. The staff of Archway Recovery Center understands the importance of meeting every client where they are in order to assist them in moving forward in the recovery process. The P.O.S.T. It program focuses on three areas necessary for the development of a healthy recovery lifestyle.

These three areas include:

1. Clients will work with counselors to assess their current understanding and status regarding the 12 Step program. Clients will develop a practical application of the 12 Step philosophies in their daily life.

2. Clients will develop the ability to recognize elements of dysfunctional life skills and the role they often play in addictive behavior. Clients will develop healthy coping skills necessary for continued growth and maintenance of a recovery lifestyle.

3. Clients will recognize both recovery and relapse as an ongoing process. Our approach includes emphasis on developing a strong recovery lifestyle as the best deterrent to relapse.

Our Post It Program is an eight to ten week intensive outpatient program. Our clients attend lectures and process groups three evenings a week for a minimum of ten hours per week. Each group session starts with a daily reading from the “Just for Today” book published by Narcotics Anonymous. Clients are given the opportunity to process the reading. The educational lectures review and renew the client’s understanding of the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous as well as offering life management skills. We offer extensive life skills group sessions which include anger/stress management, decision making and anxiety and depression. We also offer interpersonal relationship skills which focus on codependency and boundary issues. Our family therapist provides family education and process groups. These group sessions equip our clients to be able to manage life and relationships in a constructive and honest manner. In order to assist our clients with their ongoing recovery, Archway Recovery Center offers a weekly aftercare meeting. Following completion of the program, clients are encouraged to attend these meetings for as long as necessary.

Our desire is to help facilitate recovery in all life areas. We offer referrals for low cost housing to clients who wish to attend our POST It program from outside of the Kerr County area. We also have a list of halfway houses in our area. We have a contract with The Inn of the Hills Resort in Kerrville, Texas, and The River Road Bed and Breakfast in Hunt, Texas.

Archway Recovery Center accepts all major credit cards and works with most insurance companies.
